Double fail on Hangman last night.
Couldn’t commit to the first steep modified bermed corner thing which is tad annoying as all you have to do is hold on now. Committed to the last section and ran out of grip and belief that that corner would take me in front of the tree, which it will if you try to, so rammed the tree GPS first. No damage luckily.
I need to get the Simple fixed and go and beast my legs for a month in penance. Back wheel stripped and cleaned tonight, front needs doing and the brakes need a full strip and clean. Then I need to either bite the bullet and buy new forks or see if the knackered Menjas will keep going for the rest of the year until Spring.
Hopefully I’ve also fixed the chain dropping issues on the Hemlock again by moving the BB spacer to the wrong side. It fixed it on the original front end. Will mean I can safely get the power down after/through rough sections again rather than having in the back of my mind the fall on Shadows last year when the chain wasn’t where it was supposed to be.
