Bike Maintenance

Blimey I actually did some proper bike maintenance for the first time in 4 months. All I’ve been doing is the bare minimum to make a bike work which has left me with the Ferrous being brown with very poor braking, the chain is on it’s last legs and the headset is now seized. After finding the hanger for the Rocky that was pressed back into service to finish the month off and since I wasn’t wearing the Ipod today it’s making some really horrible noises during hard pedaling.

No I didn’t fix any of them as that would be too sensible, I pulled the Clockwork out of it’s resting place in the shed and amazingly, as it was slung in there almost straight after the mud sort of dried up and amazingly other than the gears barely working, which they were barely working before anyway, the only thing that was stuffed was the headset as the bottom race had rusted solid. This prompted the bottom race to spin in the frame. Now this might not sound good but it means the INbred headtube might not be ovalised like first thought but just a knackered headset. Plans start formulating :0)

New headset for new bike installed in the Clockwork so another one needed. OOps.
