Round one of the Cleveland Wheelers mini hill climb series last week as a useful form check and pacing strategy analysis for the Open event in October.
Bike of choice – GTR
Aero tweeks – None. Helmet worn, legs and head hairy.
Weight saving – Um I took the water bottle off. Saddle bag and bottle cages left in position. Small front and rear lights fitted.
Tyre pressure – Around 80/90 psi guesstimate.
Nutritional supplement – None.
Weight Change since last year – +3.6lbs
Weather – Damp on the road with very little wind.
Result? – Happy enough for now. Close enough to PB and I didn’t bother absolutely nailing myself by “sprinting” for the finish and I’d had a busy day all round.
Long way to go to get my target time though…
