Long Walk

Saturday AM daddy daughter time. Well dad pushing daughter who’s mostly asleep up and across the moors.

Florence bagged her first trig point and we both got to the Unitary Authority Top. I assume this is the Redcar and Cleveland one but could also be Scarborough. From what little I can gleam from the internet on the subject it could also be on the boundry of both. Whichever it is it’s a long walk back to the woods from there.

It looks a long way back to the forest on foot

6.5 miles in total which has left my legs and arms decidedly delicate this morning so I’ve skipped a ride in the sun with Kris. The chaffing on the back of my ankles also confirms that my walking boots that I’ve had since I was 15 really do need replacing. Shows how little walking I’ve done in the past 18 years.

    coolio.

  • That’s this years new bike :0)
Well apart from getting my instigator frame back off JW3 and using all the parts ready in the garage to enable it to pull the chariot…

  • It was rubbish today – overcast, windy, loads of ramblers, you didn’t miss much ;0)

  • It looked it.
I got some much needed bike maintenance done. Simple is fully working so I can now strip the Hemlock for it’s spring service and rebuild.
